Nonprofit in need of volunteers to help those affected by severe weather

Amidst widespread power outages in North Texas due to recent severe weather, many residents are facing challenges in preparing and storing meals. In response, the nonprofit Operation BBQ Relief has mobilized its resources to assist.

Founded by competition pitmasters, Operation BBQ Relief has set up in Richardson, providing hot meals to those affected by the severe weather. Chris Huggins, representing the organization, highlighted the importance of offering comfort and nourishment to the community during these trying times.

On Friday, Operation BBQ Relief offered complimentary lunch and dinner at the Network of Community Ministries in Richardson. The organization plans to continue serving lunch on Saturday, June 1, but is in need of volunteers to support their efforts.
