Suspect in custody after shooting inside Irving Wingstop leaves 1 dead, another hurt

A homicide inquiry is underway following a shooting incident inside a Wingstop restaurant in Irving, which resulted in one fatality and another victim being hospitalized on Monday evening.

The Irving Police Department reported on social media that officers were probing a shooting incident that occurred in the 960 block of E. Irving Boulevard around 8 p.m.

According to authorities, one individual sustained fatal injuries from the gunfire, while another person, anticipated to recover, was transported to a local hospital.

Irving Police confirmed that the alleged shooter was apprehended without resistance near the site of the fatal shooting.

The identities of the suspect and the deceased victim have not been disclosed to the public.
