Dallas police search for suspect after sexual assault on White Rock Lake Trail

Detectives are seeking assistance in locating a suspect accused of attacking a woman while she was jogging on a trail at White Rock Lake and sexually assaulting her.

According to Dallas Police, the incident occurred on Thursday, May 30, around noon in the vicinity of the 4800 block of W. Lawther Drive.

The victim reported that she was running on the trail when she was unexpectedly attacked from behind and sexually assaulted by an unknown man. Despite conducting an extensive search of the area, law enforcement officers were unable to locate the suspect.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5’5” tall, with a slender build and a slight belly. He has short, neatly groomed red hair and a beard, and was last seen wearing a blue crew-neck shirt.

Authorities have advised residents in the vicinity of the attack to remain vigilant and report any individuals matching the suspect’s description to 911. Additionally, citizens are encouraged to take precautions such as remaining socially aware, exercising caution when alone, informing trusted individuals of their whereabouts, and staying within well-lit areas, particularly during the evening hours.

Dallas Police have released a composite sketch of the alleged attacker in the hope of identifying him.
