Video shows giraffe snatching child from vehicle at Texas wildlife park

A family outing to Fossil Rim Wildlife Center in Glen Rose took an unexpected turn when a giraffe grabbed hold of a child, causing a heart-stopping moment.

The incident, which occurred on Saturday, June 1st, was captured on camera and has since garnered viral attention.

In the video, the family can be seen attempting to feed the giraffe when it suddenly grabs hold of the child’s shirt. Thankfully, the giraffe quickly releases the toddler, and she emerges unharmed.

NBC 5 reached out to Fossil Rim for a statement regarding the incident, but as of yet, they have not received a response.

However, the wildlife center’s website announced a new policy on Wednesday: beginning Thursday, guests will no longer be permitted to ride in the bed of pick-up trucks.
