Multiple people may be trapped in E. Harris Co. wreck, sheriff says

HIGHLANDS, Texas (KTRK) — Several people might be trapped in vehicles involved in a crash in east Harris County on Friday, according to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez.

Deputies are responding to a multi-vehicle accident in the 1600 block of South Main Street in the Highlands area.

Emergency personnel have been called to assist with extricating any trapped individuals, and a Life Flight helicopter has been requested, Gonzalez stated.

As a result of the investigation, northbound traffic has been shut down.

No additional information was provided beyond what was shared in a tweet by Gonzalez at 6:32 p.m.
