‘The Reheat’: Dallas restaurant gets a fresh start thanks to Keith Lee and Microsoft

Brunchaholics, a cherished Dallas-based eatery, has been gaining recognition in the culinary scene thanks to “The Keith Lee Effect” and a strategic partnership with Microsoft.

Through the “The Reheat” video series, Brunchaholics, owned by Jessie Washington, has been highlighted for its exceptional growth and prosperity following Keith Lee’s visit earlier this year.

The series also features other Black-owned businesses like Pretty Soul Kitchen in Las Vegas and Mondays in New Orleans.

Lee, a prominent food critic and advocate for small businesses, has dedicated himself to promoting local entrepreneurs, particularly Black-owned restaurants. His viral food reviews and commitment to highlighting small companies have earned him the moniker “The People’s Champ.”

“I am fortunate to have a trusted platform that supports local businesses across the nation,” said Lee.

“Recognizing the challenges Black-owned businesses often face in staying afloat or meeting demand, I’m thrilled to collaborate with Microsoft to provide them with the tools to ensure their businesses thrive for years to come.”

The partnership between Microsoft and Lee has brought attention to the hurdles small businesses encounter, such as coping with spikes in demand and the necessity of streamlining operations for sustained growth.

Anthony Kerr, Senior Product Marketing Manager at Microsoft, stressed the significance of integrating AI tools and solutions into the operations of businesses like Brunchaholics to enhance workflows and foster long-term growth.

“Keith Lee has had a profound impact on Black-owned food businesses nationwide by using his platform to shine a light on local entrepreneurs,” said Kerr.

“For these businesses, every saved second and every spent dollar can make the difference between surviving and thriving. Our objective with ‘The Reheat’ is to demonstrate to businesses how integrating AI tools and solutions into their operations can optimize workflows and propel their growth.”

The series features a segment where a Microsoft AI expert and Keith Lee sample dishes from the restaurants while demonstrating live demos using a range of Microsoft AI tools and solutions.

This includes CoPilot Creativity 101, offering insights on leveraging CoPilot to unlock new creativity and efficiencies, and AI Small-Medium Business Tools, focusing on how AI optimization tools can elevate their businesses.

Furthermore, restaurant owners had the opportunity to collaborate with Keith Lee in “The Kitchen” to test new recipes and receive expert feedback.

As part of “The Reheat” series, Washington explored various AI tools and solutions with a Microsoft AI expert and Keith Lee to identify ways to enhance his business.

“I’ve experienced the positive impact of the Keith Lee effect, and since then, things have been hectic – I wasn’t prepared,” said Brunchaholics owner Jessie Washington.

“I’ve needed efficient ways to stay organized and manage the demand. ‘The Reheat’ with Keith Lee and Microsoft allowed me to see how AI can assist me as an entrepreneur in running my business more effectively. The integration of CoPilot into the apps I use regularly is a game-changer, and learning more about how I can collaborate with AI to support me will enable me to focus on other vital aspects to continue growing Brunchaholics.”
