Crews battle Bedford apartment complex fire

Firefighters are currently tackling a significant blaze at a Bedford apartment complex that erupted on Monday afternoon.

The Bedford Fire Department responded to a call at the Morgan Apartments at 3:06 p.m., finding two apartments and an attic area fully ablaze upon arrival.

Fortunately, no residents sustained injuries during the incident.

However, two firefighters required treatment for heat exhaustion at the scene.

The fire caused extensive damage, resulting in complete roof loss and heavy damage to four units, while an additional four apartments suffered significant smoke damage.

The apartment complex is situated in the 1800 block of Oak Creek Lane.
