Woman arrested after Plano apartments pool shooting spurred by argument, police say

Authorities reported that an altercation near the swimming pool of an apartment complex led to a shooting incident involving two women, resulting in one woman being shot, according to officials on Monday.

Brandi Morris, aged 39, faces charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in connection with the shooting incident that occurred around midnight on Saturday, June 8.

Plano Police were called to the 7100 block of Chase Oaks Boulevard, where they discovered a verbal altercation had taken place between Morris and another woman.

According to the police, the argument escalated into a shooting, with Morris allegedly producing a firearm and shooting the victim in the lower part of her body. Another individual present at the scene managed to disarm Morris.

Upon arrival, officers provided medical assistance to the victim, who was then transported to a nearby hospital by paramedics.

Morris was subsequently apprehended by the police and booked into jail on the charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
