Miranda Derrick, the stars of the Netflix docuseries Dancing for the Devil: The 7M TikTok Cult, has found her and her husband James “BDash” Derrick lives at risk following the release of the series.
On Monday, June 10, Miranda explained to her 1.7 million Instagram followers that prior to the documentary, they felt secure. However, since its release, they have faced severe threats.
“We feel like our lives have been put in danger. We have both been followed in our cars, received hate mail, death threats, people have been sending us messages to commit suicide, and we’ve been stalked,” she revealed.
The internet personality shared some threats they received, including someone saying, “If I see you on the street, I’m going to come and get you so you better get security.”
Another stating, “If I see you walking on the sidewalk, I’m going to come and shove you in the trunk of my car.”
These threats come after allegations made in the docuseries by Miranda and other young dancers against 7M, a company accused of controlling their lives.
The hit Netflix series revealed that the company is led by a pastor from Los Angeles’ Shekinah Church.
However, according to CNN, the company reciprocated to the allegations saying that it operates separately from the church.
Given the denial, no charges have been made. Ironically, the accused has filed a lawsuit “claiming defamation and trade libel against several former church members.”
