Major rumour of Kate Middleton’s cancer treatment abroad debunked

Kate Middleton’s health scare has given rise to a plethora of conspiracy theories ever since she underwent abdominal surgery in January.

Most recently, internet sleuths alleged the Princess of Wales secretly left the UK to get treatment for an undisclosed form of cancer, which she announced back in March, at MD Anderson Cancer Center, famous for its glaring list of high-profile patients.

Moreover, a screenshot had also been circulating on X, formerly Twitter, where a user on Reddit claimed to have seen Prince William’s wife at St. Regis hotel in Houston.

However, the rumours have been debunked by news outlet, KHOU11, which cited Kensington Palace as their source.

Though, it’s pertinent to note that there has been no public statement from the palace on the internet.

They also claimed to have reached out to their “partners at BBC,” who noted the future Queen of England “has not even left the UK”.

The outlet reporters also tried getting a word from the university hospital, whose reps denied comment over privacy concerns.

For the unversed, Kate has been out of the public eye for nearly six months; her last official appearance was marked at Christmas 2023, where she took part in a walkabout with the rest of the royal family members.
