Gucci Mane mourns death of former artist Enchanting: ‘R.I.P to a true star’

Gucci Mane, founder of 1017 Records, took to social media to mourn the loss of his fellow artist, Enchanting (born Channing Nicole Larry), who passed away at the age of 26.

“So sad to have to say R.I.P to such a great young lady a true star we gone all miss you Chant @luvenchanting,” Gucci Mane captioned a photo of Enchanting on his Instagram account, expressing his sorrow and admiration for the young artist.

According to New York’s Hot 97 radio station, Enchanting was signed to his 1017 Records company in 2020, before she passed away.

“She appeared on 3 compilation albums before she left the label in 2023,” they added.

According to reports, the rising star passed away at a hospital after being removed from life support.

A member of her management team revealed in a statement to The Shade Room that the 26-year-old had overdosed and was experiencing withdrawal symptoms.

“She came to my house the last four days to get clean. She tried her best and I did everything I could to help her, she tried,” the rep told the outlet.

Enchanting “began to pursue music around the age of 18,” according to her 1017 Records page, which is still live on the label’s website.
