17-year-old Hurricane Harbor worker saved from nearly drowning

A 17-year-old boy employed at Six Flags Hurricane Harbor in North Texas was hospitalized after a near-drowning incident during his shift on Thursday night.

The incident occurred shortly before 9 p.m. on June 13 at the water park located at 1800 E. Lamar Boulevard in Arlington.

According to the Arlington Police Department, the teenager fell into one of the pools after the park had closed to the public. Another employee rescued him and he was promptly transported to a local hospital.

The teen was later transferred to Cook Children’s Hospital in Fort Worth, although his current condition remains undisclosed.

Arlington Police responded to ensure there were no suspicious or criminal aspects to the incident. Following their investigation, they concluded that no criminal offense had occurred, and the incident appeared to be accidental or related to a medical issue.
