‘Busted Nose Bandit,’ accused of robbing bank in May, is in custody, FBI Houston says

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) — The Harris County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team has arrested the man known as the “Busted Nose Bandit” in the northwest area. Kenneth Mouton, 58, was apprehended on Thursday.

Mouton is accused of robbing the Comerica Bank on Highway 6 and Spencer Road, near Copperfield, on May 30. Following the robbery, FBI Houston released pictures of the suspect and offered a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to his capture.

Authorities announced Mouton’s arrest weeks later, stating that he was taken into custody during a search warrant executed at a home on Wolbrook Street. No injuries were reported during the incident.

Mouton now faces multiple charges, including aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon. Investigators are currently processing the residence and a vehicle associated with Mouton.
