Dominic Purcell, Wentworth Miller to reteam for new series after ‘Prison Break’

Dominic Purcell and Wentworth Miller geared up to reunite on screen 19 years after Prison Break premiere.

Variety reported on Tuesday, June 25, the two actors, who initially teamed up for the crime drama nearly two decades ago, are slated to star in the upcoming series Snatchbook.

Purcell, 54, took to Instagram to confirm the news, revealing that the new series is produced by his wife, Tish Cyrus-Purcell, founder of Hope Town Entertainment.

He expressed gratitude to his “dear friend Wentworth Miller: for joining the project and co-starring with him. “Your talents have been surely missed. Thanks brother,” Purcell added.

According to an official logline, the Scott Rosenbaum-written and executive-produced series “follows a highly skilled privately contracted team of operatives as they recover hostages across the globe from some of the most exotic and equally dangerous locations on the planet.:

The series is inspired by the life of a real covert intelligence officer “who is still active in the field today.”

Purcell is also serving as an executive producer, along with Tish, mother of Noah and Miley Cyrus.

Prison Break originally aired on Fox from 2005 to 2009. For four seasons Purcell and Miller, 52, were starred as brothers Lincoln Burrows and Michael Scofield, respectively.
