Courteney Cox steps up to support Jennifer Aniston through tough times

Jennifer Aniston is still grappling with the loss of her dear friend and former co-star Matthew Perry, months after his untimely passing.

According to Closer Magazine, Aniston’s close bond with Perry makes it challenging for her to move on. Fortunately, her fellow Friends alum Courteney Cox has been a constant source of comfort and support during this difficult time.

“A lot of people don’t realise how close Jen and Matthew were because she didn’t broadcast how much she stuck by him,” the tipster said of Aniston.

“She was one of the only people that would still reach out to him even when he was deep in the grip of his addiction and pushing everyone away.”

The source went on to admit that while a lot of people closer to Perry have given up, Aniston could not do so. “Even though it’s been more than six months since he died, it really hasn’t made it any easier for her, she keeps tearing up and asking herself how it happened.”

The 17 Again actor’s tragic death in past October was devastating enough for Aniston, but the subsequent autopsy report revealing ketamine in his system and the ensuing scandal only added to her pain.

The Murder Mystery star found the whole ordeal “horrible” as it reopened the wounds of her friend’s passing and served as a harsh reminder that his death was potentially avoidable, making it even more heartbreaking.
