Overnight robbery outside club ends with man shot in the face in west Houston, HPD says

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — A man is hospitalized after being shot in the face during a robbery outside an overnight club early Friday morning, according to Houston police.

The incident occurred in the parking lot of Perfect 10, located near Richmond Avenue and Greenridge Drive.

Investigators informed that the victim, who is in his 20s, is expected to survive. He was shot while being robbed of his jewelry and cash.

Following the shooting, police tracked the victim’s phone to a car about three minutes away from the shopping center where the incident occurred. Upon stopping the vehicle, officers found the victim’s family members, who had located the phone.

“The victim was alert, conscious, and provided a detailed description of the suspects and the vehicle they used to leave,” said HPD Robbery Division Det. Ken Nealy.

Investigators are searching for at least three individuals: one person who drove the car, the shooter, and another man who accompanied the shooter.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers or the HPD Robbery Division.
