NBC 5 Responds helps Fort Worth family pay tribute to loving mother

When families are coping with the loss of a loved one, managing various aspects of bereavement can become overwhelming.

Annette Walsh reached out to NBC 5 Responds seeking assistance when she encountered difficulties obtaining the grave marker she had fully paid for her mother, Ruby, who passed away in June 2021. Despite making the payment in September 2022 for a flat grass marker at Fort Worth’s Shannon Rose Hill Cemetery, the marker had not been installed after a year and a half.

After NBC 5 Responds intervened and contacted Dignity Memorial, the operator of the funeral home, prompt action was taken, and Ruby’s grave marker was finally installed.

NBC 5 Responds remains dedicated to investigating consumer issues, advocating for resolutions, and providing assistance in recovering funds or resolving problems. For assistance with your concerns, you can contact us at 844-5RESPND (844-573-7763) or fill out our customer complaint form.
