Arrest made after man found dead inside plastic storage container on Fort Worth road

Fort Worth Police have arrested Tisha Hulsey, 51, on a charge of murder following allegations that she placed the body of 52-year-old Dwight Hood inside a plastic storage container and left it on the side of a road in northwest Fort Worth last month.

Hood’s body was discovered inside the container on June 5 in the 3300 block of McCandless Street around 2:47 p.m., near a road leading to a shale gas pad. This unsettling find prompted an investigation by detectives from the Fort Worth Police Department’s homicide unit.

Authorities have not disclosed the circumstances surrounding Hood’s death and have not provided further details about the incident. According to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office, the manner and cause of Hood’s death are currently listed as “pending.”

Hulsey was taken into custody on Monday, July 1, and was subsequently booked at the Fort Worth City Jail. There is no information available regarding whether she has posted bail or retained legal representation.
