Suspect wanted for several felonies in connection to June 10 triple-shooting in W. Houston, HPD says

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — The Houston Police Department is actively searching for an 18-year-old suspect, Alan Ernesto Ortega, who is wanted on three felony charges following a shooting incident outside a gas station in west Houston last month.

The incident occurred just after 4 a.m. on June 10 in the 11800 block of Bellaire Boulevard near South Kirkwood Road. Officers responded to the scene and discovered a man inside a parked car riddled with bullet holes. The man, who had been shot multiple times, was transported to the hospital in critical condition.

As the investigation continued, two young women were found hiding behind the building, both with gunshot wounds. One woman was shot in the hand, and the other was shot in the thigh.

According to HPD, Ortega allegedly fired his weapon inside the vehicle where the man was found before fleeing the scene. The motive for the shooting remains unclear.

Ortega faces two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and one count of aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury.
