Two children die as doctors’ strike enters fourth day in Sindh

KARACHI: Patients continue to suffer in  government run medical facilities as Young Doctor’s strike in Sindh entered fourth day on Saturday.

According to Geo News,  at least two children have died  after non-availability of doctors   at the National Institute of Child Health (NICH) in Karachi

The doctors have been protesting against the government for not increasing their salaries, with Young Doctors Association claiming that the Sindh government had assured them of accepting their demands but failed to issue any notification to fulfill its promise.

OPDs and wards at Civil Hosipital, Jinnah Post Graduate Medical Centre also remain shut and patients are being forced to visit private hospitals amid the crisis.

Hospitals in Thatta, Jaccobabad and other district of Sindh province are also denying treatment to patients
