Govt Working On War Footing To Control Leishmania , Dengue, Malaria

Health Minister Dr. Hisham Inamullah Khan said on Monday that KPK government with support of federal government and World Health Organization was taking steps on war footing to make the province free of leishmenia, malaria and dengue ailments

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – APP –  ) :Health Minister Dr. Hisham Inamullah Khan said on Monday that KPK government with support of federal government and World Health Organization was taking steps on war footing to make the province free of leishmenia, malaria and dengue ailments.

He said that health and education were among the top priorities of the PTI government and any negligence in these two sectors would be not tolerated.

He expressed these views while chairing a high level meeting regarding Dengue, Malaria and Leishmenai control pregame, says a press release.

The meeting was attended by Secretary Health KP, Director General Health KP, representatives of world health organizations and federal directorate health.

He said that provincial government was providing free of cost medicines to Leishmenia patients. Health Minister also requested the Federal Health services to make sure supply of medicines used for treatment of these aliments and its effective control.

Health Minister directed a committee having representation of National Institute of Heath , Islamabad and World Health Organization to finalize strategy for control of Leishmenia and dengue for KPK including newly merged districts and directed other committee to chalk out research program for diagnosis of these diseases
