Couple arrested in machete attack on woman’s stepfather in Clodine

A young couple wanted for a brutal machete attack in the Clodine area late Sunday has been arrested, according to the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office.

Usaria Castillo, 19, and Josiah Brown, 20, turned themselves in Tuesday night. They are accused of attacking Castillo’s stepfather with a baseball bat and machete in the 17200 block of Pastoria Drive shortly before midnight.

The stepfather, who is 42 years old, was airlifted in serious condition with several stab wounds from the machete. He is expected to survive, deputies said.

It’s unclear what led to the altercation.
