Slightly cooler day ahead

A reinforcing shot of dry and cooler air is entering the region today. Clouds in the morning, will clear out by early afternoon, but despite the sun, today will be chilly with high temperatures only in the 40s. A hard freeze is likely Friday morning with low temperatures in the 20s.

After a chilly end to the work week, a nice warm up is in store over the weekend as south winds return with highs in the 60s Saturday and 70s Sunday.

Another cold front arrives next Tuesday with a drop in temperatures and perhaps some rain.
