Cooler, breezy weather today

An overnight cold front kicked off showers and thunderstorms across North Texas. A few of these may briefly affect locations to the southeast of DFW this morning, but they won’t last long. Meanwhile, the day will start off mostly cloudy for DFW, then become sunny. It will be cooler today thanks to a strong north wind. Winds could gust to 25 mph.

Temperatures tonight will be crisp with lows in the 50s. A gorgeous day is on tap for Wednesday with sunshine and light winds. The next chance of thunderstorms appears to be on Friday. After that, Mother’s Day weekend looks nice.
