December delivers chilly days and cold nights for Houston

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — After a chilly day with highs topping out in the 50s, we’ll cool down to 40 degrees tonight.

We’ll see more sunshine Friday, but don’t expect a big warm up, highs will still top out in the mid to upper 50s. By the weekend a weak disturbance will bring the return of clouds and a slight chance of rain for Saturday. By Sunday, the system moves out and we should see more sunshine along with seasonable temperatures.

The weather for early next week will remain on the cool and dry side. Lows in the 30s and 40s with highs in the 50s and 60s. A gradual warmup is expected by the end of the week with high temperatures approaching the 70s.
