No suspect was found and no injuries were reported after police responded to multiple calls Friday night of an “active threat” at Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine.
Around 9 p.m. Friday, Grapevine police received several calls of a man making threatening comments at the resort, and within minutes of the first call, more calls were made to 911 that a guest had been threatened or was in danger, according to Amanda McNew, a Grapevine police spokeswoman

“We were told by multiple witnesses that a man had said he had a gun and was going to shoot up the place,” McNew said. “We never responded to an active shooter. We had an active threat — the difference being there were no shots fired and no one [had] seen a weapon.”
Multiple agencies responded to the calls including the Northeast Tarrant County SWAT team, Grapevine Fire medics, as well as officers from the Bedford, Euless, Hurst, Irving and Southlake police departments.
The calls prompted a temporary lockdown of the resort, meaning no one could enter and guests inside had to seek shelter in a secure area, according to McNew.
Police were able to trace threats to the eighth floor of the resort, prompting officers to conduct a room-by-boom search, McNew said.
Guests were interviewed by police in a room where one call was made, and police said no one in the room was in danger.
After no suspect was found and no injuries were reported, police cleared out around 2 a.m. Saturday, though some remained on the scene as a precaution, according to McNew.
