Man fatally shoots girlfriend at Pleasant Grove motel, Dallas police say

A 30-year-old woman was fatally shot by her boyfriend early Saturday at a motel in Pleasant Grove, Dallas police said.

Authorities were dispatched about 12:15 a.m. to the Super Seven Inn at 9626 C.F. Hawn Freeway near St. Augustine Drive and were told the woman had been shot by the man she lives with, police said.

The woman, who was identified later Saturday as Lexia Lafon Kimberling, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police booked Santiago V. Dominguez, 24, into the Dallas County jail on a charge of murder. His bail had not been set, and it was unclear whether he had an attorney.
