HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — A security officer shot and killed a man outside of a store in east Harris County, authorities say.
According to a tweet posted Tuesday night by Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, it happened at a store at located at 388 Uvalde Rd.
@HCSOTexas units responded to a retail store at 388 Uvalde. Preliminary info: a security officer was involved in an altercation with an adult male outside of the store. The security officer discharged his weapon striking the male. The male was confirmed deceased on scene. pic.twitter.com/0A2nKbj7DU

The address links back to a Walgreens store on Uvalde Road and Woodforest Boulevard.
Gonzalez said the security officer got into some sort of fight with the man outside of the store when he pulled out a gun and shot him. The man was found dead on the scene when deputies arrived.
It’s unclear what started the fight.
