Dallas police searching for person who shot dog in east Oak Cliff

Dallas police are asking for help finding the person who shot a dog that was found in east Oak Cliff.

Police said on Twitter that the pit bull-type dog was shot on or around April 1 in the 3200 block of Beauchamp Street, near Illinois Avenue in east Oak Cliff.

The dog is receiving medical care and is doing well, police said.
