Here’s when, where to vote in Garland’s City Council runoff this month

Garland residents in District 5 will pick a new City Council member in a runoff election this month, after no candidate earned more than 50% of the vote in May’s general election.

Voters will choose between Margaret A. Lucht and Jon Dehn, with the winner serving a two-year term. Incumbent Rich Aubin hit his term limit. Election Day is Saturday, June 18.

Early voting will take place Monday, June 6 through Tuesday, June 14 at the following times:

  • June 6-10: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • June 11: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • June 12: noon to 6 p.m.
  • June 13-14: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Residents can cast their ballots during early voting at the South Garland Branch in the Library Program Room at 4845 Broadway Blvd.

Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Election Day at the following locations:

  • Watson Technology Center, 2601 Dairy Road
  • Southgate Elementary School, 1115 Mayfield Ave.
  • Montclair Elementary School Gym, 5200 Broadmoor Drive
  • South Garland Branch Library, 4845 Broadway Blvd.
  • Routh Roach Elementary School, 1811 Mayfield Ave.
