2 men flee after crash kills cyclist in southeast Dallas, police say

Two men fled after a truck fatally struck a cyclist early Saturday in southeast Dallas, police say.

A woman on a bike was crossing the road northbound in the 7700 block of Great Trinity Forest Way, near Hillburn Drive, about 2 a.m. when she was struck by an eastbound pickup, Dallas police said.

She was not in a crosswalk, police said.

Two men got out of the pickup — a black 2014 Chevy Silverado — and ran, police said.

Dallas Fire-Rescue pronounced the woman dead at the scene. Her identity has not been released, pending next-of-kin notification, police said.
