Former Federal Minister and Senator Babar Khan Ghauri’s Mother, Anwar Jahan Begum, Laid to Rest: Funeral Prayers at Hamza Mosque, Burial at Muslim Cemetery.

Houston: Former federal minister and senator Babar Khan Ghauri’s mother, Anwar Jahan Begum, offered funeral prayers at the Hamza Mosque in Houston after the Dhuhr prayer. The funeral was attended by a large number of Pakistanis, including community leaders, Pakistan Association of Greater Houston officials & members, and Pakistani Americans as well. They expressed condolences with Babar Ghauri. The late mother of the former senator was 82 years old and had permanently settled in Houston three months ago from Pakistan. She left behind two sons and a daughter. After the funeral prayers, her body was taken from Hamza Mosque to a local Muslim cemetery, where she was laid to rest in the presence of relatives and well-wishers.
