Overturned 18-wheeler, fuel spill causes traffic delays on SH-183

On Friday morning, traffic congestion plagued the westbound lanes of SH-183 near Dallas following an incident involving an 18-wheeler, as confirmed by officials.

The mishap occurred on Thursday night when the 18-wheeler overturned on the TEXPress lanes of 183, just before the O’Connor intersection, according to authorities.

Although the driver emerged from the crash without significant injuries, a subsequent fuel spill necessitated the closure of multiple westbound lanes on 183.

Throughout the night, crews labored to clear the wreckage resulting from the crash, as reported by officials.

As of Friday morning, officials indicated that the cleanup efforts to address the remaining fuel and debris would require several hours to complete.
