Dallas ISD wants school staff trained on Narcan after deadly fentanyl overdoses nearby

Dallas school leaders say they want to be “as proactive as possible” in responding to the fentanyl crisis after several North Texas teenagers died of overdoses in recent months. Child wounded in central Oak Cliff shooting, Dallas police say

Dallas police say a child was shot and wounded Saturday night in the Elmwood neighborhood of central Oak Cliff. Officers responded to a shooting call just before 7:50 p.m. in the 1700 block of Newport Avenue, near Elmwood Parkway Park, according to a police call log.
