Moody’s downgrades Sri Lanka

COLOMBO: Moody’s on Monday downgraded Sri Lanka’s sovereign credit rating by two notches, saying the South Asian nation would be hard-pressed to secure funding to service its huge foreign debt. Public debt soars to Rs35.6tr

KARACHI: Debt held by the federal government jumped by Rs2.757 trillion or 8.41 per cent to Rs35.555tr as of July end, up from Rs32.798tr in same period of 2019, according to data published by the State Bank of Pakistan on Monday.
