Dallas County plans to close Fair Park COVID vaccine site July 17

Dallas County is expected to give its last COVID-19 vaccine shot at Fair Park on July 17, county officials said Monday. The mass vaccination site at the sprawling fairgrounds in South Dallas first opened in January with the goal of bringing the medicine closer to Dallas’ historically underserved communities. Rep. Dan Crenshaw, R-Houston, is reviving his 2020 bill that would let Americans sue China for coronavirus-related medical and economic damages. Crenshaw first introduced the measure with Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Ark., a few months into the pandemic. It died after failing to get a committee hearing. Dallas father drowns in Oklahoma lake while trying to save son, authorities say

A Dallas man drowned on Father’s Day in a southeast Oklahoma lake while trying to rescue his son, authorities say.
