Person fatally struck by train in Fort Worth

A person was killed after being struck by a train Monday night in Fort Worth, police say.

Fort Worth police were dispatched about 8 p.m. to the 7300 block of East Lancaster Avenue, near Rose Hill Park, where they found the person who had been hit.

The person, who was not identified, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

No additional details about the crash were immediately available.
