Oak Cliff’s COVID-19 case numbers continue to climb. Here’s what you need to know

Since the start of the coronavirus pandemic, Dallas County has recorded 337,571 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 4,812 deaths, according to the county’s website.

ZIP codes in Oak Cliff have accounted for at least 37,356 cases, with 75211 having one of the largest numbers of active COVID-19 cases in Dallas County and one of the area’s highest per-capita rates.

In May, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced that people fully vaccinated against COVID-19 didn’t need to wear face masks or social distance at outside gatherings of any size. However, the CDC changed course on its masking guidelines on July 28, recommending face coverings even for vaccinated people in parts of the country where coronavirus is surging — such as North Texas.

On Aug. 11, Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins announced masks will once again be mandatory in Dallas County schools, businesses and county buildings as COVID-19 delta variant cases continue to climb.

Here are the confirmed cases in Oak Cliff ZIP codes. Dallas County updates its case numbers every Tuesday and Friday.
