Man fatally shot outside Arlington home

A man died Monday afternoon after he was found shot outside his Arlington home in the city’s third slaying in less than 24 hours, police say.

Officers responded about 3:45 p.m. to a shooting call and found the victim in front of a home in the 600 block of Rosarita Road, near La Frontera Trail, with apparent gunshot wounds.

Juriah Fields, 29, was taken to Medical City Arlington, where he died about 4:30 p.m., according to the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office.

Investigators are trying to determine what led to the shooting and were canvassing the neighborhood.

The shooting is the third in less than a day in Arlington.

Christian Cruz, 27, was fatally shot about 9:30 p.m. Sunday at his apartment off State Highway 360. Police arrested Reymund Ruiz, 18, who faces a murder charge.
