Man shot dead after approaching dark sedan at southeast Houston apartment

A man was killed Thursday night after he walked up to a dark colored sedan at a southeast Houston apartment, according to police.

Police said the victim and another man were walking in the parking lot of the complex around 10 p.m. in the 1200 block of Bay Area Blvd. One of them approached a dark colored vehicle, when someone in the car shot the man at least once, police said

He died at the scene. Police were questioning witnesses overnight. Investigators said they are looking for a compact four-door vehicle with the back driver side missing a hub cap.
