Pet oxygen masks donated to first response agencies in northwest Harris County

Tomball firefighters recently responded to a fire at an apartment housing two Chihuahuas. While one of the dogs managed to escape the flames and smoke, said Tomball Fire Marshal Joe Sykora, the other did not.

Thousands of pets die in home fires each year, and according to invisiblefence.com, most of those fatalities result from smoke inhalation. Through the Project Breathe Program, Invisible Fence donated approximately 50 pet oxygen kits to four northwest Harris County emergency response agencies.
