Police searching for two people in connection with deadly shooting in Baytown motel

A man who was shot dead at a Baytown motel over the weekend may have been the victim of a botched robbery, according to police.

Emilio Aguilar, 29, was fatally shot around 9:50 p.m. Saturday inside a room at a Motel 19 in the 3400 block of North Alexander Drive, police said. Detectives said he was visiting an acquaintance at the time of the shooting.

It’s unclear why police believe the shooting started as a robbery. Authorities are looking for two people of interest who may have information about the shooting: Henry Carr Jr, 51, and Angela Stokos, 32, both of Baytown.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the Baytown Police Department Criminal Investigations Division at 281-420-6646 or Baytown Crimestoppers at 281-427-TIPS (8477).
