Shooting leaves man dead in southeast Houston home

Houston police are investigating a deadly shooting Wednesday afternoon in the city’s southeast side.

A woman called 911 around 1:30 p.m. saying a man was shot at a house in the 11100 block of Sageriver Drive, which is in a neighborhood off the Gulf Freeway and South Beltway 8. Paramedics rushed to the home and pronounced the victim dead, police said

A young man and woman were seen getting into the back of Houston police cruisers moments after the 911 call, although it is unclear if they are witnesses or involved in the shooting.

Police say the shooting may have stemmed from a domestic dispute of some sort, although the nature of the dispute was unclear.
