Alleged Texas Syndicate gang member from Richmond arrested on drug charges

An alleged Texas Syndicate gang member from Richmond was recently arrested on felony drug-related charges following an investigation by the Fort Bend County Narcotics Task Force. Court documents state the investigation was launched last May after detectives received a tip that Steven Morales Esparza, 41, was allegedly selling crack cocaine in the Rosenberg area and from his Richmond home.

Based on evidence gathered by investigators, a search warrant was executed on May 30 which led to the discovery of an unknown amount of cocaine, court documents indicate. Esparza was arrested on May 30 on charges of manufacture of delivery of a controlled substance in a drug free zone at his Richmond home located in the 800 block of Fields St., less than 1,000 feet from the Juan Seguin Early Childhood Center. According to Fort Bend County Criminal Court records, Esparza was out on bail in connection with multiple felony drug-related charges from an arrest last November.

Esparza was taken to the Fort Bend County Jail where he is being held on bonds totaling $195,000.
