Increasing clouds and wind today

All is quiet across North Texas this morning. It’s a clear but chilly start with temperatures in the 30s and 40s. After a sunny start to the day, high clouds will move into the area as the day progresses. The wind will also begin to increase during the day.

Later in the week, we’re watching the potential for showers and thunderstorms Thursday and Friday. Some of the storms could be on the strong side Friday, especially from DFW to the east. The timing for these storms looks to be late Friday afternoon into the evening hours.

Once the storms go by, cold air will spill into the area for Friday night into Saturday. But the storm system will not be sticking around long. The sky will clear out by Saturday afternoon.
