15-year-old boy, man wounded in South Dallas shooting, police say

 

A man and a 15-year-old boy were wounded in a shooting Monday afternoon in South Dallas, authorities say.

Officers were called about 4:20 p.m. to the 2800 block of Warren Avenue, near South Malcolm X Boulevard.

Police said the 15-year-old and the 20-year-old man had been standing on the corner of Lenway and Jeffries streets when people driving by in a car started shooting at them before fleeing south on Jeffries.

The victims ran to a home in the 2800 block of Warren Avenue, where they realized they had been shot, police said.

They were taken to a hospital in good condition, police said.

Witnesses told police the shooting may have stemmed from an ongoing dispute, police said.

Police did not immediately release additional details about the case.
