Apply for a small business grant from Plano program through June 4

Plano is accepting applications for its Small Business Grant Program through June 4 until 11:59 p.m.

Grant money is being offered to assist small businesses that have lost revenue due to social distancing practices or are at risk of having layoffs or a closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The funds are intended to stabilize local businesses and help retain jobs for low- to moderate-income people.

Businesses with up to 15 employees may apply for grants of up to $10,000. Applications may be submitted via the City’s ZoomGrants portal. Due to the anticipated number of submissions and limited funding, applications will be chosen via a lottery system.

Plano’s Small Business Grant Program are not loans, an announcement from the city states. Funded is provided through a $200,000 of U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Community Development Block Grant — Coronavirus (CDBG-CV) funds.
