Man killed, woman wounded in South Dallas shooting

One person was killed and another was wounded in a shooting Friday evening in South Dallas.

Police were called about 6:40 p.m. to the 5100 block of Echo Avenue, near Farragut Street.

Officers found one man dead at the scene and a woman who was wounded and in serious condition. Neither victim’s name has been released.

Police said there was a male suspect, but no other details were immediately available.
