Cold front arrives Monday morning

It felt like summer in North Texas this weekend with near record temperatures in the upper 90s across DFW. West of Fort Worth, some communities actually reached the century mark Sunday afternoon.

The record high temperature for DFW International Airport on Sunday is 99, set back in 1979.

The first of three cold fronts will move across North Texas Monday morning. This will drop temperatures back into the low 80s, but that is still above the normal high of 80. It will warm further on Tuesday and Wednesday. A second cold front should arrive Thursday with a more significant cool down.

And the third front, on the following Monday will bring an even cooler shot of air.

But despite the three cold fronts during this next week, no rain is expected for at least the next ten days.
