Dallas police arrest 33-year-old man in shooting deaths of 2 people in Love Field area

A man has been arrested on a murder charge in the shooting deaths of a 35-year-old man and 37-year-old woman in the Love Field area, Dallas police say.

Dallas police responded to a shooting call at La Yalorde, a nightclub located in the 8400 block of Harry Hines Boulevard, at about 10 a.m. Sunday.

Xiomara Diaz, 37, was taken to a hospital by Dallas Fire-Rescue, where she later died. Isidro Murillo, 35, was transported by private transport to a hospital and died from his injuries.

After an investigation, detectives determined that 33-year-old Pablo Eduardo Chavez had shot multiple times into a group of people in a parking lot, striking Diaz and Murillo, police said.

Chavez was taken to the department’s homicide unit for interviews and was arrested on a murder charge, police said. He was taken to the Dallas County jail, and his bond has not been set, police said.
